ConVis® Software Version 1.1.4
The newest version of ConVis® Software includes new tools that make setting up Balluff's Sharpshooter™ even easier.
 In version 1.1.4, there are improved multi-direction edge detection tools including Position, Width, and Edge count. These enhanced tools add greater flexibility to detect edges in both horizontal and vertical directions. Also improved is the ability to adjust the timing for job switching from 10 to 100 ms to accommodate older PLC’s and controllers. And with other tools like Brightness, Contrast, Contour, and Pattern Match, applications can be solved with ease using the industries most user friendly setup and configuration aid.

Hole positioning: vertical and horizontal edges
The BVS camera is positioned from above and the casting is placed in a fixture. The machined hole is inspected for proper alignment. The four Position tools can then accurately gauge if the hole position is within or out of the customer’s specifications. |

Thread and groove detection: pattern & contour matching, vertical edge positioning
The BVS is used to verify the presence of the threads, and the two grooves on the bolt. A Pattern Match tool adjusts for part movement while two Edge Width tools verify the presence of the grooves. Two Edge Count tools then count the threads to verify their presence. |
